Allergy is the body's first reaction when a person comes in contact with specific allergy-causing particles, known as allergens. Direct skin contact with the allergens, inhaling them, injecting them, etc., can lead to allergy. Dust, pollen, smoke, cosmetics, soaps, certain foodstuffs, cold weather, etc., are some common allergens. Common symptoms include skin rash, reddening, inflammation of the skin, cough, irritation to eyes, etc. It can be treated with medication and ointments. However, there are several home remedies that are equally helpful.
