Since melaleuca oil has anti-bacterial properties, works as an acne treatment too. To use it for acne, just make a mixture of 2 drops of tea tree oil with 1 mug of lukewarm water and wash your face regularly with it. Another way of using tea tree oil for acne, is by putting it on some cotton and then dabbing it in the affected area. Acne are a result of bacteria growing on the skin. To make it work for you, add 2-3 drops of tea tree oil to a bowl of boiling water. Remove it from the stove and lean over it. Now cover your head and inhale the hot steam for 5 minutes. All your cold and congestion will be relieved within minutes.
Melaleuca oil helps treat minor cuts, bruises, and burns too. Never directly touch a pure extract of this oil, as it can burn your skin. Always dilute it with some other base oil or water.
